Uniform lock

General information, DU panel, special functions

All models considered in the present manual are standardly equipped with the uniform lock with remote control.

Upon purchase of the car two main remote controls (DU) equipped with folding keys are presented to the owner. The key which is a part of the DU panel approaches all locks used on the car.

The DU main panel of the uniform lock with a folding key (2 pieces)

1 — the Button of release of a folding key
2 — the Button of locking of locks

3 — the Button of unlocking of locks
4 — the Button of unlocking of a door of a back

The remote control (DU) allows to make activation of locks / the alarm system with distance to 10 meters (depending on area conditions).

When losing the DU panel it is necessary to make code conversion of the uniform lock in the conditions of Mercedes-Benz car repair shop, - in the same place it is possible to order the spare panel.

Refusals of operation of the DU panel can be caused by the following reasons:

a) The key is in the ignition lock;
b) Panel battery charge level fell;
c) The distance between the panel and the car exceeds 10 meters;
d) Synchronization of system of the uniform lock is broken (see below).

In the handling of DU panels observe the following precautionary measures:

a) Do not allow hit on the moisture DU panel!
b) Do not drop and do not shake the DU panel!
c) Do not allow long impact on the DU panel of direct sunlight and heating of its over 60 °C!

Also the possibility of management of functioning of activators of locks by means of the keyboard switch which is built in forward section of the central console is provided (see the car Equipment, an arrangement of devices and governing bodies).

If blocking of locks was made from the DU panel, their unlocking by means of the console switch is not possible. Blocking of locks by means of the console switch can be made only at densely closed all doors of the car.

Automatic simultaneous locking of all doors of the car happens at achievement by the speed of the movement of the car of some certain value (about 15 km/h), - unlocking of any of forward doors of the car will lead to unlocking other from within (provided that the last unblocking was not limited to a driver's door).

If unlocking of doors after operation of locks during the movement is made from the switch of the uniform lock on the central console, locks will remain open and after repeated start-off of the car.

Automatic locking of doors happens at rotation of the left forward wheel when the key in the lock of ignition is turned in situation 2 that should be considered not to remain outside when pushing of the got stuck car!

Switching off of function of automatic locking of doors during the movement can be made by approximately 6-second keeping of the pressed lower part of a key of the console switch of the uniform lock at the ignition key turned in situation 2, - repeated activation of function is made by 10-sektsndny keeping of the pressed top part of a key (the ignition key also has to be turned in situation 2).

Creators of the uniform lock provided function of automatic unlocking of door locks at emergency collision with excess of the set level of overloads.

Instructions for use DU panel

At the key left in the ignition lock the control of the uniform lock from the DU panel is not possible.

Management of functioning of activators of locks

The DU panel allows to make simultaneous unlocking / locking of locks of all doors (including a back door) and covers of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank.

Individual unlocking of a driver's door

For unlocking of a driver's door it is necessary to press once the button, - also the cover of the top hatch will be at the same time unblocked.

Unlocking of all locks

Double pressing the button of the DU panel will lead to unlocking of locks of all doors of the car (including a back door), and also the lock of a cover of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank. The fact of unlocking of locks and shutdown of the anticreeping alarm system (EDW) is confirmed by single short-term inclusion of indexes of turns (the refusal of operation of indexes demonstrates violation of serviceability of functioning of the uniform lock, - ask for the help experts HUNDRED Mercedes-Benzs).

If after unlocking of the car any of doors is not open within about 40 seconds, there will be an automatic switching of locks in the locked situation (to activation of the anticreeping alarm system if that is provided).

Individual unlocking of a door of a back

Unlocking of a door of a back in individual an order can be made by a nazhimaniye on the DU panel button, - all other doors of the car at the same time remain blocked.

Locking of all locks

For simultaneous locking of all locks it is necessary to press once the DU panel button, - serviceability of operation of system is confirmed by a triple blinking of indexes of turns. At refusal of operation of indexes of turns it is necessary to make sure of density of closing of all doors, then to repeat attempt. Repair of the failed uniform lock has to be made by forces of experts HUNDRED Mercedes-Benzs.

Replacement of batteries of the DU panel

Replaceable batteries for DU panels can always be got at Mercedes-Benz car repair shops.

For replacement of batteries of the DU main panel open the key which is built in it, then wring out an access cover on the back panel up

Establish replaceable batteries by a positive pole up, then strongly latch a cover and remove a key.

Having replaced batteries, make sure of serviceability of functioning of the panel, having serially pressed each of buttons. In case of need repeat the procedure of installation of elements and/or make synchronization of the uniform lock (see below).

Synchronization of the uniform lock

At refusal of operation of activators of locks from the DU panel it is necessary to make synchronization of system.

Turn a key in the ignition lock in situation 2, then return it to situation 0 and take from the lock.

Within 60 seconds after extraction of a key once press the button, then five a time in a row - the button and check serviceability of functioning of system. In case of refusal any of functions repeat the procedure of synchronization.
