Details of installation of the forward driveshaft


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Самоконтрящиеся bolts and adjusting washers are subject to replacement without fail!

  1. Details of installation of the forward driveshaft are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Turn out самоконтрящиеся bolts (70d) of fastening of the driveshaft to an output flange of the transfer case.
  3. Turn out самоконтрящиеся bolts (70b) of fastening of the driveshaft to the leading flange of forward differential, remove adjusting washers (70s).
  4. Accurately lower the driveshaft (70), give it forward and take from under the car.
  5. Estimate degree of wear of the hinge of equal angular speeds (HEAS) on the forward end of a shaft and the dual cardan hinge on back, in case of need replace a shaft assembled.
  6. Installation is made upside-down, - carefully smooth out the surfaces of interface, track correctness of centering of connecting flanges of hinged assemblies of a shaft and a distributing box / forward differential.
